Chris and I went on our first official video shoot the other day in Brighton. When I say first video shoot, I mean a shoot that we organised, casted, location scouted, filmed and edited. There’s a mouthful. It was to promote the new Your Moments competition, which I suggest you enter because the prizes you can win are pretty great.

Capcom Comp.
After some discussion with a representative from Capcom, the company that brings you video games such as Dead Rising (Xbox 360), Resident Evil (Wii), and Monster Hunter (PSP), we have come to a decision to hold a little competition on The Cheese Grater.
When: I’ll let you know when I do.
Where: TheCheeseGrater.co.uk
Why: As a promotion for their new game that I previously mentioned, Monster Hunter for PSP.
Prizes: Limited edition Monster Hunter T-Shirts and Monster Hunter PSP Games.
The gist of the discussion was on what type of competition to hold. We thought of a couple, but I want to know what you think. That’s right. You.
Leave me a comment and if your idea is used I’ll give credit to you on the competition post as well as put a link to your blog/website.
3. 2. 1. GO GO GO GO!
Logo Competitions etc.
I’ve stumbled across a great website, it’s called Worth1000.
It’s a neat little website for photoshop/illustrator lovers. It has quite a community behind it offering tutorials for beginners, photoshop contests, and the best bit, advanced contests in which clients can open a competition with a cash reward for the best logo that they can use for their company.
I looked at a few of the finished contests to see what level of skill was put into the outcome and thought I would give it a go. So I tried out for a logo contest offering $1000 for the chosen logo.
The company was called GridIron Systems Inc. A company all about accelerated data transfer speeds and external storage. They’ve specified certain mandatories such as number of colours, what words much be included etc.
Voting starts in 7 days. Here’s my entry with variants. A bold, yet simplistic logo combining the strength and speed of the cheetah into the professionalism of a trust worthy business.
Also works well with a black background.
