NYC.

It was cold. Very cold. Still sunny though and we went to a good few agencies, all with their own little “thing” that makes them different from each other. The agencies I went to throughout the trip and the main speakers were;

Concept Farm – Griffin
Exposure – Tom
What If! – Gareth
R/GA – Courtney
Cunning – Lara
Naked – Paul
Rapp – Camilo
JWT – Renetta and Andy Clarke

They were all very nice people and I was quite surprised how many English people there were in the agencies (some even from Bucks!). We even randomly met one of the founding four of ZAG on the street outside Concept Farm who gave a few of us an impromptu talk about the industry. Thanks Georgia ;).

Overall it was a good trip, plane there was good, plane back was a fucking nightmare, but you’re reading this so it wasn’t that bad.

Now on with the pics! This isn’t all of them, and they will all look different from each other because I was pissing about in photoshop.

I have to start with this one because it’s by far the most globally relevant, the rest are just holiday snaps whereas this is porn frozen into the middle of Central Park’s lake – epic. The next one is of a taxi on fire… sort of.

Out with the old. In with the blog.

After cutting up my girlfriend’s photoshop file of her new website design [charlottesaunders.co.uk], I’ve decided that i’m going to ditch this stock template I settled with a good few months ago and design from scratch a brand new shiny blog. I’ll use the theme that I come up with and apply it through my portfolio and landing page which should be fun, not sure how long the whole process will take – but i’ve got plenty of time. (unless I go down burning on the flight either to or from new york at the end of January!)

Oh, and btw, I’m going to New York at the end of January. Not looking forward to the flight though.

New Glasses?

No no no, well yes, actually I made them today.

As you may know, I’ve given my blog a bit of a facelift.

I wanted something to go with this theme, minus all the technical changes I’ve done I wanted something that would be instantly associated with me.  Well, I took a long hard look at myself, and my most distinguishable features would probably have to be my eyebrows and glasses. Easy.

So after playing around with some photos, tracing my glasses and eyebrows in Illustrator I ended up with a nice simple little design, more of a logo actually. Yes. It will be my personal logo (looks like I might have to get some new business cards printed).

As you can tell I triplicated it with the motion of an eyebrow raise moving from one eye to another, obviously for a logo I would have just one set of glasses and eyebrows for the simplicity of it.

So anyway, they are on the site if you scroll down a little bit to the right in the sidebar.
